Debbie has been performing scalp micropigmentation for male clients for over 8 years. Debbie has the talent and 23 years of experience in cosmetic tattooing.
Clients have been ‘buzz’ cutting their hair short for years but feel that they are fed up with the ‘chrome dome’.
Scalp micropigmentation is a non-invasive technique that uses a fine needle to plant tiny dots of ink into the skin, imitating the look of short hair follicles.
It works by placing natural pigments from the USA (Scalpa) via a specialist micro needle at the epidermal level of the scalp, to realistically replicate the appearance of natural hair growth.
The procedure gives the appearance of closely shaven hair and can be used to cover a fully bald head or fill in thinning hair or a receding hairline.
It is ‘almost pain-free’ as while a traditional skin tattoo penetrates five layers of the epidermis, SMP only enters two layers.
While she has used this technique for men for a years, it is increasingly being used in women, too.
After much research Debbie suggests that a small test area be performed and that she would leave the decision to continue in their hands. The treatments are completely in the hands of the client and this is her policy.
The results speak for themselves clients experience scalp coverage in different ways, but report a huge confidence boost.
